The Consulate-General of Poland in Chicago (Polish: Konsulat Generalny Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej w Chicago) is Poland's diplomatic mission in Chicago, Illinois, United States; it is situated in Chicago on account of that city's central location in the United States and the large number of Polish Americans in Chicago and the Midwest. It is located at 1530 North Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast area of the Near North Side region.[1] The building that houses the consulate opened in 1916 as a private residence. The Polish government bought the house in 1974. The house became a Gold Coast historical monument in 1989.[1]
